148 East is an Australian agribusiness founded by four generational cattle industry operators focused on developing the Iona Project, an integrated investment in beef processing infrastructure in Queensland. Established to strengthen Australia's beef supply chain through regional infrastructure, 148 East combines practical agricultural experience with expertise across engineering, infrastructure development and project delivery to create long-term value for industry, regional Queensland and future generations.
The four founding families of 148 East bring together decades of experience across beef production, feedlot operations, value adding, food and fibre supply chains, bio-refining, nutrient recovery, engineering, infrastructure development, research and development, major project delivery and financial management. This combined capability provides the practical foundation required to guide the Iona Project from concept through development and delivery.

148 East takes a practical, evidence-based approach to decision-making, drawing on operational experience and technical expertise to ensure outcomes are practical, deliverable and designed for the long term.
Through the sustainable management of combined resources and effective collaboration with stakeholders and future partners, we are developing an innovative, circular and regenerative business platform that delivers benefits to investors, industry and the wider community, supports long-term regional growth, and strengthens agricultural supply chains.
The Iona Project is being developed through collaboration across agriculture, engineering, environmental science, finance and government, alongside landholders and regional stakeholders. It integrates production, processing, energy, water and resource recovery into a connected system designed to improve efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen long-term performance.

We are sincerely dedicated to being a trustworthy, reliable, responsive, and consistent partner in all relationships built on mutual respect and confidence. We are responsible for our own words and actions, and collectively for the outcomes of the business.

We collaborate with and form synergistic beneficial relationships with all system partners to achieve common goals, spread prosperity and promote longevity. We acknowledge that the sum is greater than the parts and pursue reciprocal relationships to succeed.

We boldly and confidently push boundaries and take on challenges under a risk-managed and well-informed framework. We aim high, supported by due diligence, insight, responsibility and accountability.

We acknowledge and accept the varied strengths each party brings in experience, communication styles and resources. We commit to treating people and managing resources with dignity, sustainability and professionalism.

We look beyond the present to deliver future value within a risk-managed framework that supports a resilient and sustainable investment, with a strong commitment to ESG principles.
148 East recognises that its most significant and valuable asset is the people connected to the project, including producers, suppliers, customers, agents, employees, contractors, community members, neighbours, board members, shareholders and other stakeholders.
Maintaining strong relationships with these groups is fundamental to the project's success. This is built on transparent communication, accountability and operating with integrity throughout every stage of project development.
148 East is committed to strong stakeholder engagement and corporate governance and will continue working collaboratively with industry, government and regional communities as the project progresses.
