148 East is developing the Iona Project to create long-term value for Central Queensland. Beyond the project site, the development is expected to support regional employment, strengthen local supply chains, encourage investment and create opportunities for local businesses throughout planning, construction and operations. As the project progresses, 148 East will continue working with communities, industry and government to maximise regional opportunities wherever practical.
More than 400 permanent operational roles together with approximately 200 construction positions and over 1,400 indirect regional jobs are expected to contribute to long-term employment across Central Queensland.
